Topiwa Chilume is a partner in the Corporate department. He has over 22 years vast experience in corporate and commercial law gained from working both for large corporates and in private practice. His areas of expertise include corporate transactional law, competition law, restructures, private equity, asset management, banking & insurance, capital markets, mining & energy, telecommunications, public-private partnerships & infrastructure, and intellectual property.

Topiwa has a BCom and LLB, both obtained from Rhodes University. He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court and other courts of the Republic of Botswana and is a member of the Law Society of Botswana.

He has throughout his career served in various senior management roles in the banking, asset management, insurance and private equity sectors, giving him a broad knowledge, understanding and experience in the corporate and commercial practice area.

Mark McKee is a Consultant Partner to the Firm and a highly experienced, technical and commercially minded, banking and finance lawyer with a track record of success and a broad range of skills, gained in a range of legal advisory, partnership and senior management roles.

Mark has 25 years’ experience dealing with Asset Based Lending, Structured Finance, Project Financing, Capital Markets, Finance leases, Consumer Law, Company Law, Joint Ventures, Energy and Mining, Public Private Partnerships and associated regulatory matters including not limited to regulation of the banking & finance, energy, telecommunications and tourism sectors.

Extensive project leadership coupled with highly developed dispute resolution, mediation and negotiation skills make Mark a real asset in the running of projects and transactional negotiations.

Mark specialises in legal advice and transactional support on all major transactional matters within the associated firm with a special emphasis on financial, capital markets, mining and energy sector matters.
